I can't believe that I haven't posted in a week. It's been an extremely long week. I had fun, but I'm glad it's over.
I'm a day late on How does your garden grow, but I just didn't have the energy.
First of all, I don't know what I was thinking wanting to start a container garden. It is so hard to keep that stuff watered in this Georgia weather. The bamboo is dead. It didn't look too hot from last week, though. I will get it replaced.
Look at this!
I have my very fist corn. I'm so excited! We will eating them before you know it.
In the center of this picture, you can see an itty bitty cantaloupe. I can't wait to taste the juicy fruit! I'm not finding any watermelon yet, but I hope to soon.
My tomatoes are coming in steady. They are getting bigger and bigger by the day. They are doing so well that even the green pepper look like tomatoes...LOL I guess we got some mixed up during the planting stages. The leaves of the pepper plants look just like the tomatoes. Go figure!!
Well, I just wanted to give a quick update because I know I won't be here to participate next week. We are going camping. I hope the garden survives without me. We will weed this weekend before we go.

ReplyDeleteHooray on your corn!! Ours hasn't tasseled yet so therefore it isn't even silking, but it won't be long!! Isn't it exciting?? :)

ReplyDeleteOur garden got completely drowned this year by the unusual rain amounts we got. We totally lost our garden for the first time in 25 years. So enjoy your garden!! It is great to see those little things sprouting. The one thing we have been getting is watermelons.
