Fall Jacket

This is my latest crochet project. I have been slowly working on it all summer long. I guess it is about time for me to ramp it up. The weather here is still warm, but once September hits it will begin to get cooler. I never thought that I would look forward to the four different seasons here in the Midwest.

I need to finish the left side, sleeves and the collar. I love how it is turning out so far. The color is persimmon. I would have never picked this color out on my own. My hubby helped me. I think it will look great against my skin tone.

I have also joined a crochet along that will begin in September. I am looking forward to showing you that project. I am so excited about it, I think I am going to make a couple, so I can give some away for Christmas. I always try to plan ahead.

Android Cover

I crocheted this for my android tablet. I wanted something different. I didn't want to just go buy a leather case. this one is way more fun. I even bought a blinged out button to close it. You can't see it very well in the picture, but it is prettier than it looks.

I haven't had time to do a lot of projects lately. I have a hat that I was planning on getting done this week and I haven't crocheted a stitch. This is our week break from home school and I was thinking that I would be able to crochet and catch up on some reading. I have gotten a couple of chapters read, but that is about it.

Here it is open.

I added a pocket to stick my notes in from church or where ever. It is just being held by elastics on each corner. It is pretty secure. That part had to be sewn. I didn't really follow a pattern, so I probably can't do this again...LOL I just went with it and made it custom to fit my tablet. I LIKE IT!

Back in Action

I am starting to pick up my needles, again. I used to love to crochet and still do. I haven't really had the heart to work on anything for the past year. One person got a crocheted gift over the holidays and that is not like me.

What burnt me was I was working on two long cardigan sweaters with a hood for two sisters. I got the first one finished and the second one is almost done. I didn't get all of the money for the first one, so I put my needle down on my second. Someone took advantage of my craft and I was so disheartened.

I don't know these ladies very well, so that is good. They used to work with my husband. The second sister had sent a message for me to finish the second cardie, but I told my husband not until the first one is paid off. I haven't heard from them since.

The daughter of the first sister actually works for my husband now.
