New Me

Back in the fall I had decided to grow my hair back natural. I have been chemically straightening it since I was a kid, so that is all I knew.

Well, the last time that I straightened it was back in November. Since then I have been braiding it and wearing hair pieces. I started getting tired of the hair pieces and yesterday, I was going to go out and buy a new one. Then I decided, why spend the money. Let's see what I have underneath and if it looks, bad then I will go get a new wig.

So, I let my husband cut all of the straight hair off and this is what I ended up with.

I was scared, but now that it is done, I love it. Now, I get to have some fun just from getting to know my hair.

Up until now, I have always been self conscious of my hair. That is why I covered it. If my hair wasn't long and flowing, I wasn't happy with myself.
